Take the example of the black-hole theory and the big bang, Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10325967.post-1124079668364936602005-08-15T00:21:00.000-04:002005-08-15T00:21:00.000-04:00What I said was "If it isn't science, keep it out ...What I said was "If it isn't science, keep it out of the classroom." I didn't say it had to be "proven." There are scientific hypotheses and theories. That's part of science. There is a huge difference between a scientific theory, like evolution, and the layman's definition of theory, which usually means only a guess. In science, though, a theory is a sure as you can get.Jerry Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05466226925773904805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10325967.post-1124073306934379532005-08-14T22:35:00.000-04:002005-08-14T22:35:00.000-04:00Jerry you say, "If it isn’t science, keep it out o...Jerry you say, "If it isn’t science, keep it out of the science classroom."<BR/><BR/>I have to agree with that comment. Only proven concepts should be there and hypothesized theories should be available only in the library and places other than the classroom. That way no one has to study a theory they don't agree with. But since philosophy as a branch is itself all hypothesis and discussion, so Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10325967.post-1124029070508167492005-08-14T10:17:00.000-04:002005-08-14T10:17:00.000-04:00I wouldn't worry too much about your unlearned pre...I wouldn't worry too much about your unlearned president. He has done so much harm to the world already, his double take on evolution can only be a footnote.
